I did this painting because my dad and stepmother live on this lake. One day I got a picture in the mail and I was impressed with the trees in all their fall glory. Loon's are the Minnesota state bird so I decided to incorporate these bird's as the focal point of the painting. Fall is my favorite time of the year. It's an experience when all of the trees are in their fall colors.
