This painting marks a transformational moment in my life, based on something I survived. The wounded man bleeding from the neck—that’s me. Five Out comes from the phrase “5150 blood in, blood out.” But for me, the blood I shed wasn’t about loyalty or rules. It was about clarity. That moment marked the end of a life I no longer wanted to live. The pain in this piece is real. But so is the freedom. This painting is the line between who I was and who I chose to become.
