When I created this piece, I was thinking about what we leave behind; what survives us. The baby girl you see here is a symbol. She represents what’s born after the struggle. After the labor. After the pain. She’s the outcome of something pushed through with purpose. Legacy is about more than memory. It’s about what gets passed on; through blood, through lessons, through the work we put into the world. I wanted this piece to honor that journey. The journey of becoming. Of creating something that carries meaning. This is my reminder that getting here wasn’t easy...but being here means we carry the chance to give something back. Be a gift. Leave something that lasts.
