K-Pop is one of our program administrator’s favorite music. She especially liked a performer called August D, a descendent from Korean dynastic royalty. The mural depicts his image in traditional regalia framed by a tiger—his family's royal insignia. I wanted to do something special for her, as she was one of the rare staff in prison who retained her enthusiasm and compassion throughout her employment.
