This painting was a collaborative effort between MidJourney AI and myself. The inspiration was originally drawn from the prompt, "psychedelic fairy with blue hair". It spit out several attempts and one of them I felt was worth my time to paint it.
What captivated me about the original image was that instead of just blue hair, the skin was also blue, plus she had wings growing out of the side of her head! I'm fascinated by how AI gets things "wrong" as much as by how it accurately portrays a given prompt.
